Washington Street at Union Pacific Railroad
Crossing closed May 9-11
WEST CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, APRIL 26, 2005 – The City of West Chicago announced today that Washington Street at the Union Pacific Railroad Crossing will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11.
The closure is due to required railroad crossing repairs being performed by the Union Pacific Railroad Company.
Washington Street will be closed to through traffic between RT 38 and RT 59. From the east, local traffic may use Washington Street from RT 59 to Main Street. From the west, local traffic may use Washington Street from RT 38 to Clara Street. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour route (RT 59 to RT 38) or to choose another alternate route.
