Resource Program at Community High
for Parents of Special Needs Students
Community High School District 94 will offer a program to acquaint the parents of special needs students with some helpful resources for their families. The meeting will be held from 7 to 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 17 in the Learning Resource Center at Community High School, 326 Joliet Street in West Chicago. Please use entrance H at the south end of the building.
Three speakers will offer presentations at this meeting. The first, a representative from the Russo Center, will discuss the new medical and mental health care center that will be opening in West Chicago this spring
The second presenter is Dr. Lance Lambert, a dentist who works with special needs patients. He comes highly recommended. Bring your questions about your child's needs.
Also, Kara Murphy from ACCESS DuPage will present information on gaining access for medical care and services. ACCESS DuPage currently provides services for 5,400 people in DuPage County. Their services are based on financial need.
A Spanish-language interpreter will be supplied on request. For questions or to make a reservation, contact Transitional Social Worker Faith McWilliams at 876-6267. There is no charge for the meeting and the public is welcome to attend.
